Samsung has already confirmed that the August SMR patches more than 60 vulnerabilities. These include a critical Android OS flaw that paved way for attackers to remotely execute code on a victim’s device over Bluetooth. Google also fixed about 30 other less-severe issues with Android OS. On top of those, Samsung patched almost as many issues specific to its devices. Many of them were labeled critical by the Korean giant. The flaws don’t affect the Android products from other brands....

Galaxy S20 Fe Gets August Security Update In The Us

The August SMR (Security Maintenance Release) has been rolling out to Samsung’s Galaxy smartphones since late July. The Galaxy S22, Galaxy S21, and Galaxy S20 phones were the first to receive the update. The Galaxy S20 FE joined the party last week. Galaxy S20 Users Are Facing Display Issues Again

According to several users across Twitter, Reddit, and Samsung’s forums, the Galaxy S20 screen shows vertical pink or green lines on the screen. Twitter user @Thesourya2000 (via Android Police) shared an image of the Galaxy S20 Plus below, showcasing the thick vertical pink line. Although the bug has been around for a while, Samsung hasn’t commented on these concerns yet. But it’s likely the company is already aware of the issue, so we could have a word from the manufacturer later this week....

Galaxy S22 Series Lacks Esim Support On Google Fi Out Of The Box

According to a 9to5Google report, the Google Fi app on the Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, or the Galaxy S22 Ultra currently doesn’t recognize that the phones support eSIM. As you can see in the screenshots attached below, the app asks you to insert a physical SIM card to use Google Fi services. You can place an order from within the app if you don’t already have one. eSIM is simply not an option here....

Galaxy Tab S6 Series Gets Android 12L With One Ui 4 1 1

The Galaxy Tab S6 that arrived in August 2019 is currently receiving the Android 12L update in Europe and South Korea. The new firmware version for the tablet is T865XXU5DVH2 and T865NKOU5DVH2 in the two regions, respectively. That for the Galaxy Tab S6 5G is T866NKOU4DVH2. The latter is only available in South Korea and debuted in January 2020. Lastly, the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is getting the latest update in Europe with firmware version P615XXU4EVI1....
