GM was pretty light on details for these two. But it looks like it’ll be similar to the Blazer and Equinox that are already out, just electrified. That’s something we’re seeing a lot of carmakers doing these days, as they transition to 100% EV. The Chevy Equinox EV is expected to sell for around $30,000. No word yet on the Blazer EV, but we’d expect a similar price. Currently, the Equinox starts at $25,800 and the Blazer starts at $28,800....
Raghavan said in the email that “we’ll use this time to review our headcount needs and align on a new set of prioritized staffing requests for the next three months”. It’s not all bad news, though, as those that have already received contracts from Google, will still be hired. But, Google is not offering any contract extensions right now. Google published a blog post about this on Tuesday, stating that traditional TV is “expensive and outdated”. So it is making the switch to streaming instead. It’s a little surprising that Google did not include a free month of YouTube TV with the Chromecast with Google TV. But offering the Chromecast means that customers can try out YouTube TV, Fubo TV, Hulu + Live TV and a few other options that are out there too....
Wear OS 3 is Google’s latest wearable operating system. It launched (sort of) last year with the Galaxy watch 4 smartwatchs. Samsung had possession of Wear OS 3 for more than a year while Google worked to launch its own smartwatch. That was the Google Pixel watch. Now that Wear OS 3 is in full swing, Wear OS 2 is fading into the sunset. While new smartwatches may launch with this operating system, we can’t expect any future updates....
Last month, the redesign for Google One began when the home screen changed to a grid layout. The new layout makes more information visible to the user. Highlighting details about VPN status, storage space, the clean-up tool and backups. The new update brings an always-visible sidebar that will replace the bottom bar from the previous design. It consumes less space and displays more information. In portrait orientation, the sidebar collapses and hides the Membership Plans, Settings, Help, Send Feedback, Privacy Policy, and Terms of Service sections in a separate drawer....
