We are in the Christmas season, and it seems like the Finnish company, HMD Global is giving a treat for its Nokia X20 smartphone users with this new Android 12 update. This update also means that we could see more Nokia phones getting updated with Android 12 in the coming weeks. Android 12 update for Nokia X20 also brings November 2021 security patch
It goes without saying that this new update brings all the goodies of the latest Android to Nokia X20. However, the sad part is it still carries the November 2021 security patch and not the latest December 2021 patch. The Nokia X20 Android 12 update arrives with build number V2.350 and weighs in at 2.18GB in size. So, we would recommend you download this update over a stable Wi-Fi or mobile data connection to avoid downloading issues. Talking about the features, it adds a Material You user interface, dynamic color support, a new privacy dashboard, universal search, one-handed mode, microphone and camera indicators, approximate location, and more. Nokia X20 smartphone owners living in one of the eligible regions can check for the update manually. To do that, you need to head over to Settings > About phone > System updates > Check for updates. The system will check the official servers for update, and if it detects one, your device will begin downloading the Android 12 update on your device. To recall, Nokia launched the X20 back in April this year. It came with Android 11 out of the box. So, the Android 12 update would be the device’s first firmware update. The good thing about Nokia is that, just like Samsung and OnePlus, the Nokia X20 is guaranteed to receive three years of Android OS updates. This means Nokia X20 will get support till Android 14.
