So limited in fact, that they’re only available in Japan. Which means if you live outside Japan you will probably find it pretty difficult to get ahold of these. The PlayStation cushions will come in what looks like five different varieties and are being sold by popular fashion brand Shimamura. If you’re unfamiliar with Shimamura, think of it like Japan’s version of H&M to an extent. It sells a wide variety of clothing and fasion items including hats, shirts, tees, underwear, socks, and a whole lot more, at similar prices to what H&M charges.

The cushions will come in the form of two controllers. An original DualShock controller and a DualShock 4 controller. As well one that looks like an original PS1 console, and one with the PlayStation button icons on it that comes in both black and gray. The controllers will cost 1,290 yen each, while the “main body” and “button mark” cushions will cost 890 yen each. That’s about $11.35 for the controller cushions and $7.83 for the main body and button mark. Granted these prices are just based off of currency conversions. Since they’re not being sold in the US, the pricing is not exact. If you do live in Japan, Shimamura will begin a reservation period for each of the cushions beginning at 9am local time in Japan on Saturday, December 18. The reservation period will go until Sunday December 19 at 11pm.

If you really want to try and grab these yourself, you might have an option. Sometimes you can find online merchants that sell these products from Japan and have them imported. These are known as proxy services and they can be pretty easy to use and easy to deal with. White Rabbit Express for example is one of these services, and you could have them buy the cushions for you. Based on a quote from the site, the PS1 controller cushion would end up costing around $30. You’re spending around triple the price, but it’s better than nothing if you really love these. Prices will vary of course based on where you’re having things shipped to.
