Where in past games EA has simply listed them as the name of their specialty field, I.E. recon, support, assault etc., in Battlefield 2042 the specialists all have names, and you can meet the final specialists today. The names are likely to help build the narrative. When EA announced the game earlier this year, it confirmed that there would be no solo campaign mode. But that it would have an evolving narrative. And giving each specialist a name helps do that. EA officially announced the details both in the news and media section of the official Battlefield 2042 website and on Twitter. Followed by a video on the Battlefield YouTube channel which introduces all five new characters. While showcasing short clips of their abilities and how they play in-game.

If you got a chance to play the Battlefield 2042 beta, then you’re already aware that you were given access to only four of the five specialists that were announced at the time. Each specialists has their own abilities that make them an asset in the field. While there are multiple specialists for the Assault, Recon, Engineer, and Support jobs, each specialists also comes into the field with a unique skill. You can check out the trailer above for a brief glimpse at those skills. In addition to Falck, Boris, Mackay, Casper, and Irish, players will get to choose between Navin Rao, Santiago “Dozer” Espinoza, Emma “Sundance” Rosier, Ji-Soo Paik, and Constantin “Angel” Anghel. Personally, we’re partial to Navin Rao with his Cyber Warfare Suite specialty, which lets him hack enemy equipment and in-world objects. Check out how he hacks an enemy vehicle causing it to crash. Giving him the time he needs to shoot it with the Recoilless M5 rocket launcher. Battlefield 2042 officially releases on November 19 on all major platforms including PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
