The Galaxy S22 Ultra gets a durability test

For those who aren’t familiar with Zack’s durability tests, he takes new phones and puts them through different tests to stress their durability. In the video, he scratched the phone with different tools to distinguish which parts were made from metal. He then burned the screen and took apart the S Pen. However, it’s the bend test that people mostly wait for; it’s pretty much the climax of his videos. In this durability test, he took the phone and bent it from the front. After that, he bent it from the back. Both times, the phone did not budge in the slightest. He put a lot of force into the bend, and nothing happened. This proves that the Galaxy S22 Ultra is built solid. You won’t have to worry about sitting on it and accidentally breaking it. As a recap on the specs, the Galaxy S22 Ultra has a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display at 1440p+ resolution. It uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, but the international version uses Samsung’s own Exynos 2200 SoC. The base model comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and that upset users a bit. Keeping the lights on is a 5,000mAh battery, and the battery life improves over time. The base model starts at $1199, and it goes up as you add on more storage and RAM. This phone doesn’t come with a headphones jack or microSD card expansion, which no one really likes.

This video is a huge slap to the face of OnePlus. Zack also put the latest flagship from OnePlus through the test, and it did not end well, unfortunately. That phone went through the same tests as the Galaxy, and it fared well until 7 minutes and 45 seconds into the video. Zack was able to basically fold the phone into two pieces.
