Google Keep for Wear OS has received a couple of updates in the last weeks, including two new tiles for sunset/sunrise and favorite contacts. The Keep app on Android devices also got a dual-pane view. Google is now releasing an update to the notes feed to give it a modern look. It also increase the preview of messages. The update continues the Material You redesign that was rolled out to Wear OS 3 in September.

As you can see in the below screenshots, the background and cards in the new version of Google Keep for Wear OS are not black and gray anymore. The background color or the image you’ve previously selected on the phone app now reflects the notes feed. The reflection of color or image also continues even after you open a note. Additionally, the edits made to a note, the labels you’ve applied, and collaborators appear at the bottom of each note. A new design for notes is not the only update Google brings to the Keep app for Wear OS. The preview of notes is now more extended, allowing you to read a larger part of a note before opening it. This might not seem a big deal, but it boosts the app’s functionality. Of course, showing more text previews results in fewer notes per screen. So you have to scroll down to see more notes. The richer notes feed and longer text preview is available in version 5.22.482.00.97 of Google Keep for Wear OS 3. The update has yet to be widely rolled out through the Play Store, and you might have to wait a few days more to get it. The outlet also says they have come up with broken images in the release. The images also don’t get previewed in the main feed. These issues could be solved before public rollout.
