Facilitating this seamless switch between Instagram and Facebook is the company’s Accounts Center feature. This feature has been around for years and already lets you jump through multiple Instagram profiles with just a few taps on the screen. Simply add all your Instagram accounts to Accounts Center and you’re good to go. Meta is now adding Facebook to the mix. You can enter Accounts Center from either app, likely by long-pressing the profile tab, and switch to the desired Facebook or Instagram profile in no time. The new integrated profile-switching interface also notes a count of unread comments or notifications for each profile. This makes it convenient for people with multiple Facebook and Instagram accounts for personal and business use. If you’re on your personal Instagram account, you can quickly check if there’s a new comment on your business account on Facebook. And if you have, you can open Facebook with just a tap on the screen. Likewise, you can easily switch back to Instagram.

Instagram and Facebook are also getting an integrated login system
Meta is also testing an integrated login system for Instagram and Facebook. New users can create an account on either app and use it to sign up for additional profiles on both platforms. If you add all of your login credentials to the same Accounts Center, you can easily log into Instagram or Facebook using credentials for either app. For privacy, Meta will give you control over which accounts can log into each other. You will also be notified every time a new profile is created on Instagram or Facebook using your existing account and when an account is added to your Accounts Center. Additionally, you can manage which profile appears in the integrated profile-switching interface. If you have 2FA (two-factor authentication) turned on, Meta will block cross-login on unrecognized devices. Meta is currently testing this integration between Instagram and Facebook. The new profile-switching experience is available to select users on iOS, Android, and the web. The integrated login system is only available on mobile apps. The company will expand the features to more users in the coming months.
