OnePlus shared another tweet, confirming that the device will launch on January 14. Just to be clear, the phone is coming to India, though it could launch in more markets. Considering it will have global software on it, that is considered to be a global variant.

The OnePlus 9RT originally launched in China back in October. Since then, it did not launch in any additional markets. It was assumed that it’ll arrive to more markets, and that’s exactly what happened. OnePlus is referring to this launch event as ‘Winter Edition’ for some reason. The company will launch the OnePlus Buds Z2 alongside the OnePlus 9RT, by the way. The OnePlus 9RT is actually quite a powerful smartphone. First and foremost, it does resemble the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro when it comes to design. It has really thin bezels, and a display camera hole in the top-left corner. This phone’s display is flat, while there are three cameras on the back, placed in the top-left corner. The phone features a 6.62-inch fullHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Snapdragon 888 fuels the OnePlus 9RT, while the device comes in both 8GB and 12GB RAM models. Both of those variants will likely launch in India, but we’ll see. A 4,500mAh battery is also a part of the package, as is 65W charging. The phone will come with a charger, and it’ll come in several color variants. The device includes stereo speakers, and it’ll likely ship with Android 12 in India. A 50-megapixel main camera sits on its back, and is backed by 16-megapixel (ultrawide) and 2-megapixel (macro) cameras. A single 16-megapixel camera can be found on its front side. This phone will likely have a really appealing price tag in India. Its price was one of its main selling points in China, so it makes sense.
