According to Google’s updated timeline, the beta’s will begin rolling out next month. There will be two betas, then two more betas with platform stability, and a final release around the end of the summer or early fall. Betas will come out in April, May, June and July of this year. A little interesting that the first beta is launching ahead of Google I/O. So it may not have many new features, as Google will want to save most of that for I/O in May....

Twitter user @GreenShades9 has shared screenshots from Google Maps beta v11.28.0 that show a new trip options interface where you can select your preferred modes of travel (via). The selected modes will be prioritized in your search results. This will remove unnecessary components from the screen, allowing for a cleaner UI. This isn’t an entirely new feature that Google has developed. You can already pre-select your most-used travel modes on Maps from your Google account settings on the Google app....
