As of this writing, the Galaxy A90 5G is receiving the Android 12 update in Samsung’s homeland South Korea. The new firmware version for this 2019 premium mid-range smartphone is A908NKSU4EVC1. This should be the last major Android OS update for the phone. It arrived with Android 9 Pie and has received updates to Android 10, Android 11, and now Android 12. Samsung recently promised four major Android OS updates for its select phones but the Galaxy A90 5G doesn’t qualify for that....

The Galaxy S10 Lite started receiving the April SMR (Security Maintenance Release) in Europe last week. The rollout has now reached the US, with the unlocked units picking up the update first. Rolling out with firmware version G770U1UES6EVD3, last month’s SMR is already available on most wireless networks in the country. The remaining few should also join the party in the coming days. The April security update should also hit the carrier-locked variants of the Galaxy S10 Lite in the US soon....

The Galaxy Z Fold 3 quickly follows the Galaxy Z Flip 3 in picking up the stable One UI 4.0 update. The clamshell folding phone made the jump earlier today. Both new foldables have been receiving beta updates regularly for the past few weeks. Overall, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is the third Samsung phone to receive the One UI 4.0 update in the stable channel. The Galaxy S21 series picked up the big update first in mind-November....

A dedicated S Pen slot is reportedly part of Samsung’s elaborate foldable strategy for the coming years. According to The Elec, the company held a meeting with its suppliers a couple of weeks back to discuss the future of foldables. Folding devices currently only account for one percent of the global smartphone market. But the Korean firm expects it to grow exponentially in the coming years. It told suppliers that the shipment of foldables is projected to see a CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate) of 80 percent through 2025....

On mobile, you can mark a conversation as unread by long-pressing on a message. A pop-up menu will appear with a new “Mark as unread” button alongside the existing Add reaction, Copy text, and Forward to inbox options. You can also find this button under Conversation options, which you can access by tapping the contact’s name in the top-left corner. It appears below the “Start a new chat” option (see the attached images below)....
