This patent was filed with the World Intellectual Organization (WIPO) back in June of 2021, but it was published earlier today. The patent was discovered by 91Mobile, and it gives us a look at what Google plans to do. Looking at the device, we see a typical notebook foldable. When closed, it has the footprint of a typical slab phone. When opened, the phone turns into a small tablet. This makes sense; we don’t expect Google to try and reinvent the wheel here....

Dates back to October, we reported that Google is developing the second-gen Tensor SoC for the Pixel 7. Also, the codename for this was “Cloudripper,” and the model number for Google’s second-generation Tensor chip is GS201, compared to the first generation with GS101. Also, the reports say that the chip will feature a Samsung modem with the model number “g5300b.” This modem is still in development, and it’s not available. Moreover, the source believes that the next Tensor chip comes with the Exynos Modem 5300....
