The Android 13 update is available for both the 4G LTE and 5G variants of the Galaxy S20 trio. It comes with firmware version G98FXXUFGVJE for the 4G LTE models and G98BXXUFGVJE for the 5G-enabled ones. The package contains the October security patch, which the phones picked up a few weeks back. But we are more interested in the goodies that Android 13 and One UI 5.0 bring to the devices....
According to Jon Prosser, Samsung is planning to take wraps off the Galaxy S21 FE on January 3rd, 2022. The device will reportedly go official at 6 PM PST/ 2 AM GMT/ 9 PM ET. The confusion here is that the phone was previously widely expected to launch a day later, i.e. on January 4th. Jon himself had claimed that before. So there seems to be a last-minute change in plans, or perhaps Jon has some inaccurate information....
Korean publication The Elec specifically mentions a 4,700mAh battery for the Galaxy S23+, a 200mAh increase in capacity over Galaxy S22+’s 4,500mAh power unit. But the vanilla Galaxy S23 and the Galaxy S23 Ultra may also get bigger batteries than their respective predecessors. Or maybe not! A previous report suggested the 2023 Ultra model will keep the same 5,000mAh battery as the current Ultra. The vanilla model certainly needs a little more power, though....
