Twitter seems to be working on end-to-end encryption for DMs
There is a code in there indicating that E2EE (end-to-end encryption) is coming to Twitter DMs. What gives this information even more credit is Elon Musk’s response. He responded by using a winking emoji. Some of you may recall that Elon Musk said a while back that Twitter should offer end-to-end encryption like Signal. That happened back when he made his offer to purchase the company, back in April. He said that such encryption will make sure that “no one can spy on or hack your messages”. The company actually tested such encryption back in 2018, but it never arrived to the platform. Well, that may change in the near future.
Elon Musk has been making changes left and right since he took over
Elon Musk has been making changes left and right since he took over
Elon Musk has had his hands full ever since he took over Twitter. Granted, he did create some problems himself. In any case, Musk said that Twitter was losing $4 million a day when he took over, so things needed to change drastically… and fast. He fired a number of top executives the moment he arrived, and then proceeded to fire a large chunk of Twitter employees. It is being reported that half the company’s workforce was laid off. A number of other reports arrived in the meantime, and the whole Twitter Blue fiasco followed. Elon Musk offered verification to everyone who pays $8 for Twitter Blue, and that didn’t go over well. A lot of spam, scam, and copycat accounts appeared. Twitter Blue got removed as a result, and it’s still not back. It is expected to return soon, though, with changes, of course. You can expect to read a lot more about Twitter moving forward, as things are changing fast.
