Elon Musk lets you decide whether he stays on as Twitter CEO or not

This is what he wrote on Twitter: “Should I step down as head of Twitter? I will abide by the results of this poll”. There are two answers on offer, of course, “Yes and “No”. The tweet is embedded below, and you can still vote if you want.

— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) December 18, 2022 At the time of writing of this article, there are around 3 hours left to vote. Also, at the time of writing this article, 57% of people voted “Yes”. If it stays that way, Elon Musk will no longer be Twitter CEO, presuming he keeps his word. Over 14 million people voted up to this point, though that number will likely increase in the coming hours. There’s still plenty of time for things to change, of course, even though 57% is a strong percentage, especially considering the span of this poll.

Musk made some radical changes since he took over

Elon Musk made some radical changes since he took over Twitter, which didn’t really happen all that long ago. He took over at the end of October, which means he has been in charge for over a month and a half at this point. Following initial layoffs, a lot of additional changes followed. Elon Musk even reverted some of his decisions really fast, within a couple of days, which never look good, of course. We also got a brand new Twitter Blue subscription recently, after the initial change failed. Anyone can get that verified tick now, but under certain conditions. Also, we have three different verified badges now. It remains to be seen how this poll will conclude, but if you haven’t voted yet, and you do care and have an opinion, go ahead and cast your vote!
