The Vivo NEX 5 will have a gigantic 7-inch display, and really powerful specs
The device is said to ship with a 7-inch E5 AMOLED display, which will be curved. This is a tablet-size display. Times have surely changed. Tablets had 7-inch displays in the past, and now smartphones do, and that’s considered normal. That display will offer QHD+ resolution, and it will be an LTPO 2.0 display. In other words, it will offer an adaptive refresh rate, most likely between 1Hz and 120Hz. It will be a 10bit panel, and it will also be extremely bright, at 1,500 nits of peak brightness. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 will fuel the device. That is Qualcomm’s most powerful processor to date. It will fuel many Android flagships in 2022, that’s for sure. The OnePlus 10 Pro is fueled by that chip, the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro, the Galaxy S22 series will utilize it, and so on. Vivo will also utilize LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 3.1 flash storage inside of this phone. An 8GB RAM model will include 256GB of storage. The 12GB RAM variant will come in both 256GB and 512GB storage flavors.

A 12-megapixel portrait camera (Sony’s IMX663 sensor, 2x optical zoom) will also be included, and the same goes for an 8-megapixel telephoto camera (OIS, 5x optical zoom, 10x hybrid zoom, 60x digital zoom). We still don’t know what camera the company plans to include on the front, though. The Vivo NEX 5 design is also still a mystery, but it will probably surface in the near future.
