The Vivo X80 Pro+ will have top-of-the-line specs, it seems

The Vivo X80 Pro+ will have top-of-the-line specs, as expected. This information comes from Twitter, from ‘Sam’ over at Shadow_Leak Twitter handle. I have to say, we’re not too familiar with that source, so take this info with a grain of salt. According to what is shared here, the Vivo X80 Pro+ will feature a 6.78-inch QHD+ display. That will be an LTPO 2.0 display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and we’re looking at an AMOLED display (E5), of course. That panel will likely be curved, even though that hasn’t been mentioned. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC will fuel the phone, of course, while the device will be IP68 certified for water and dust resistance. You can expect LPDDR5 RAM to be included, and the same goes for an X-Axis linear motor.

The phone is said to include four cameras on the back, and one on the front. A 50-megapixel main camera (OIS) will be backed by a 48-megapixel ultrawide camera (Sony’s IMX598 sensor). In addition to that, Vivo is allegedly planning to use two additional 50-megapixel JN1 sensors on the back, one enabling 2x and the other 5x optical zoom. A single 50-megapixel camera will sit on the front, and support autofocus. In regards to charging, well this phone will be well-equipped. The tipster says 66W wired charging will be supported, and the same goes for 50W wireless charging. Vivo will also use its V1 chip for image processing, which has proven its quality in the Vivo X70 Pro+. The Vivo X70 Pro+ was actually praised as one of the best camera smartphones of 2021, for a reason. The Vivo X60 series launched in March last year, so that’s when we’re expecting the Vivo X80 series to arrive. Vivo is still launching two X series flagship lineups per year, so the X60 and X70 series phones arrived last year.
